This is the second series of the FAQ I posted some days back. I had been receiving numberous emails/comments from visitors all across the globe. Almost all of them asking for free international call to/from their country.
Although, Free international calls to various countries is still not possible. I will try my best to include countries which are most popular among my visitors or they recently asked for.

Question1: I want to make free international calls to Bangladesh. I live in Malaysia. Can you help?
Answer: Currently Bangladesh is tightening their rules and trying to keep VOIP under a tight regulation. However there is a service which can help you till the market is isolated by the government. The solution is to use Low rate voip
Question2: I am a small businessman in India and have some clients in USA & Canada. I am currently using IDD or Calling cards and sometimes messengers to communicate. But my business requires regular interaction. Can you give me any solution to make free international call to USA & Canada?
Answer: You can make free calls to USA & Canada from India. This is not limited to India but available to all other countries. The solution is to use iCall
Question 3: I am in singapore but my parents live in Argentina, Can i make free calls to argentina? Additionally, is it possible to call Brazil?
Answer: If you live in singapore, you have a added advantage. Singapore is known to a totally FREE VOIP country with minimal regulations for VOIP and telecommunications. One of the most advanced telecom countries in the world to say the least. That means you can make and receive calls in Singapore on landline and mobile both for free. Now coming back to your question, You can call argentina using Voipcheap, voip discount, voipstunt etc.
Question 4: Is it possible to make free calls to India? This was asked by almost 100 odd people over email :-) & Why India is never listed under Free calling destinations?
Let me first answer the second interesting question. India is a traditional telecom country with one of the most stringent regulations. On top of it, it's dominated by the local telcos such as BSNL, MTNL and in private sector, Bharati, Essar & Reliance. There are billions of dollars at stake in the telcom industry which these big punters dont want to give away for FREE. Afterall, they want to cash on your pockets as much as they can till free voip becomes evident and a household name. At the same time, Government makes every attempt not to promote VOIP and benefit the telcos. You know why dont you :-)
Now, what about making free international calls to India? I would say YES and No both. Why no? Because its not possible to make free calls to india, since indian telecom companies charge the VOIP companies for terminating a call on landline or mobile in india. That sucks but it's true. Then you must be wondering how come there are providers who still offer free calls to India. Yes, there are some providers such as Gizmocall who offer free international calls to india. They basically operate in deep pockets and pay off for the termination charge from other paid service. Trust me this model falls off once the difference is huge. But till its there, you can use Gizmocall to make free calls to India
Question 5: I want to make free international call to russia & Czech Republic. Do you know any voip providers offering free calls to russia and czech republic?
Yes, Voipcheap & VoipDiscount offers free calls to Russia Landline. Similarly, they offer free international calls to Czech Republic landline only.
Question 6: I am in India and have aunt in UK, England. Since we have IDD at home, My parents always call her. However the charges are heavy for a IDD call. It seems you have some solution for free international call to UK. Can you share?
UK is another country, owned by local telcos. I mean literally, 02 (BT), orange and T-mobile owns the mobile market and have always charged hefty termination charge for international calls. However, Voipcheap, Mediaring allows free international calls to UK landline only.
I hope the above Question Answer FAQ session has answered most of the queries directed to me on emails/comments on this blog.

gizmocall is not working for india. please do something
I have been using Gizmo ever since you wrote about it.However,whenever I call India,the line gets cut as soon as the call is picked up on the other side.When I call a cellphone in India,they always tell me that it comes in a 93 series and the line is bound to get cut soon.Why does this happen??What should be done to rectify this problem??By the way,I make calls from Canada to India.

I know gizmocall isnt working for india these days. I was told that they r resolving the issue. I asked them again yesterday but still no reply.
if you are calling from canada i suggest ask ur folks in india to call you instead. they can use icall for free

As i clearly said, its difficult to find a free offer for UK mobile. I myself haven't come across anything. I have loads of frds in UK and i cant call them for free on their mobile. It sux but true. However gizmocall used to allow but i guess they cant operate in deep pockets anymore. It costs way too much for terminating calls to UK mobile so they stopped it now.
If anyone knows a free international call service to UK mobile, I would give him a nice gift for sharing the story. No jokes honestly :-)

hitesh, as i understand jajah needs you to atleast make one payment before u use free calls. I am on jajah business account so i have different rules and settings. I didnt get your issue about using mobile number 3 times. If you register it once, you can use the same number why did you open 3 new accounts? maybe i got ur question wrong. please explain. Free international calls to india is still pretty much only with gizmocall.
Thanks Vinay for ur reply! I think u took my question wrong. its true that JAJAh ask for the payment, but it also allow to have a trial for free by registering through your email id. I want to say when I register through my email JAJAH alow me to call to india for free using my mobile number, but after using my free credits on the same email registration its ask to buy the credit. Then I again register on JAJAH with my another email id then it again alow me to call india through my same mobile number, but after doing this for 3 times it says mobile number is in used. So I need new mobile number to make call. This is I dont want could it be possible to make call through same mobile number but registering through different email id. hitesh i guess you were lucky. Jajah doesnt allow to register same number under different ID. I was really surprised to see that. Atleast that's what i thought.
Just to let you know, this blog is also read my Jajah people regularly. So they might fix this bug (if it exist).
There are many cheap ways to call india. You can try services such as voipcheap etc. They offer cheaper rates. not sure if its cheaper than jajah.
gizmocall is surely having some issues lately. I guess their system can't take the load anymore or all calls to india are no more free. I sent them numerous emails but alas no reply. I guess i have to shoot an email to micheal (CEO of Gizmocall) now. lol

Australia & Newzealand users can use voipcheap it should work for both the countries and it will let you make free international call to over 40 countries.

Any way I dont know how many knows about "globe 7", I am just trying to share some information here. "Globe 7" provide to call anywhere in world for free. But what you have to do is you have to watch videos, u would be given dollers for each watching. collect the money by watching video and then make a call anywhere in the world.

sonia, to make free international call within thailand you may use voipdisocunt. to call HK, you can use the same. I would also strongly recommend using jajah but both the numbers should be registered with jajah in order to use their free international call service.

if you use voipcheap to make free international call to russia, beaware that only certain area codes are free and not the whole of russia. I understand only moscow and st.petersburg is free and rest are not.

However it sometimes gives me some login errors..wondering is that anything to do with my firewall? coz last 2 days i disabled firewall and didnt see any more errors.

vivian, glad to know that you are able to make free international call with the help of this blog. There are many such success stories and one day i will post about them. Yes, the issue is with the firewall. Since most of the VOIP softphones use UDP packets to transmit data, firewall blocks UDP packets so it's impossible for the voip software to communicate with their server or gateway, that gives the errors such as 32 error or gateway not connected etc.

It is very much pleasing with your coordination & helping to fellow friends, I would like to tell you about my situation, when I read about free calling to India possible by Gizmo project, and as per the instructions mentioned above, I downloaded & installed the gizmo project & registered, then I have instructed my persons in India to do the same & they did, we added each other in List and also mentioned our contact numbers tel/mobile, but when we tried to call on that numbers, it says " A error occurred attempting to make a call. (Reason: offer SDP is Null).
I would be very thankful to you for your help in this regards and advise me what to do further.

Farhath, thanks for dropping by. I think u misunderstood it. Gizmo project doesnt work for india. you need to gizmocall to make free international call to india. Gizmo project should work for other countries
Hai Vinay, This is Farhath, Thanks for your very prompt reply, as you suggested to use gizmocall instead of gizmoproject, and when I tried at gizmocall it gives similar error i.e offer SDP is Null (Code 1, please advise me what shall I do now, I am presently in Saudi Arabia.

Unfortunately it seems that gizmocall has a bug. "Offer: SDP is null" is a known issue under conditions of low connectivity" as per their support team.
My guess is Low connectivity could be because of low bandwidth internet connection. Are you using dialup?

Using a linksys SIP phone is a great idea. You and your parents both can connect Linksys to your router and use Skype to make free international call. Another way is to ask them to use icall or mediaringtalk to make free international call to USA. I am writing some exclsive guide for SIP phones will post it when it's done.

Jaspreet, voipcheap is a good way to call UK landline but they don't offer UK mobile free calls. You can try using Fring mobile for free mobile to mobile calls. This works great for free international call to UK mobile. you can also use mediaringtalk to call UK landline for free

to make free international call to UAE or Fiji island, you may try using Gizmocall.
to call korea and japan, you can use gizmo project. They offer free international call to those places

Currently no one offers free international call to indonesia. However you might try Jaxtr i guess they do support indonesia

garrett, voipcheap sometime has issues with their software.Just try again later it should work. Else you can try jajah or jaxtr or jaduka.
