After a successful launch of Gizmo Cal, SIPPhone now started a "younger brother" of that service. Its officially named as "Gizmo SMS". guys at SiPPhone are going berserk with the new products being launches back to back.
In today's fast paced world, SMS still has a lot of space to grow further. Although, it might not have the same impact about 5 years later than it has today. I know there will be some experts who can counter question me on this.
Moving on, Gizmo SMS has a very similar interface to Gizmo Call, without of course the sound settings. To test the speed of this service, I sent a quick "testing SMS" to my own number. It never reached my cell. I tried my friend's number. It didnt reach his mobile either. I dont know what could be the reason behind this :-) I might try later. It could be possible that their server might be overloaded with too many SMS request at once.
I guess guys at SipPhone needs some serious work to look at these issues. Hopefully they will solve it soon. Otherwise, this a is a great service. No frills, simple and unlimited FREE SMS to almost anywhere in the world.

hey i have found a website which allows free sms to indian cellular phones. I think there will be a lot of people even intrested in this. The website name is http://www.sms2india.net/
I have personally tried it on my cell phone and 1 thing i would like to say is that though it doesnt deliver messages that instance but it reached my cell phone within 2-3 mins. I am not trying to advertise this website neither i am associated with this website in any form. I have just encountered this website through a google search and I would like all of the readers to atleast try it and share the experience over here. The message limit is 100 charachters but you can send an unlimited amount of sms's without even registering.

well with www.crickee.com u can send sms but the person who is getting the sms on a cellphone has to have wap or internet connection on cell phone to read the sms from the crickee website and sign up too. so it's not really a good thing:( isn't there any serivce like voipcheap.com sms service where u can send sms directly to the cell phone?i test voipcheap.com sms service within their dialer and it works but u can send only couple of sms. now it shows insufficient balance!

I used Gizmo yesterday at 8:15am for the very first time and it worked well.This morning I tried calling once again,but at 7am.It gave me a 3 errors,one was getsubscribertier error and the other was getbalance and finally getfreeminutesavailable.Can you tell me why this happened and if I would be able to make a call for 5mins everyday to India.Thankyou for your time.

mak, are you sure about the WAP thing. I tried sending sms on my wife's cell and it works. she doesnt use WAP or wifi.
uninstall & re-install gizmo plugix.exe will work
I also tried crickee..I m from India..I sent some msg 2 my mobile itself..But it never came.My mobile doesnt hv GPRS connection..SO i think one needs to hv GPRS or internet connection in mobile. one more thing after sending msg on my mobile, a call had came n whn i atttendded it,cuckoo voice was there n it got disconnected automatically after 7 seconds. :)sms2india.net works fine,but words limit is 105 only.. Indiatimes Chikka is good for this purpose..long msg(320 words) can be sent, but daily only 10msg..Vinay u r really do a gr8 job by sharing ur knowledge..let me knw if any other s/w for sending msg international as well as national. :)
Gizmosms just didnt work for me either. Gizmo guys are least bothered about it. I sent them numerous email and they replied with unsatisfactory answers. i guess its not going to go anywhere. I would surely try to find something for you guys or host a new free SMS application on this blog for free use.
