It's kinda late for me to post this but still about 12 hrs left for USA to celebrate Independence Day. Whats so special about July 4? Well Mobivox is offering free international calls from USA to anywhere in the world on mobile or fixed lines anytime from midnight EDT to 11:59:59 pm EDT July 4 for a value up to 10$ US of MOBIVOX credit.
Since we never discussed Mobivox on VOIP Guide earlier, its a good time to explain how it works.
Mobivox doesn't require you to download any softphone or even tiny application to use their services. This frees you from the compatibility issues, perhaps the greatest advantage over other voip providers.
One way is to access MOBIVOX through a local access number provided to you free by MOBIVOX. When you call your local number, MOBIVOX recognizes your phone number, Voxgirl (automated) helps you to make calls.
Those who do not have access numbers in their country , for e.g: India can use mobivox from Web. Just enter your party number in Your Account-Web call. Mobivox will first call you and then call your party.

Hey, thanks for e great job. I did register but each time i tried calling or adding a Cameroonian contact to my account, i was asked to enter a valid number. It seems the system does not recognize Cameroon phone numbers.
Is there anyway out? A typical example of a Cameroon phone number is +23775957181.
i faced the exact issue last night for my singapore mobile number, will investigate further and let you know.

I tried to call INDIA at this time 00:47:00 Wednesday July 4, 2007 in EST5EDT
and the call disconnected within 2 mins saying that I dont have enough credit. I think its not giving 10$ worth of talktime... Can you please advise? Thanks

The worst ever service....
I registered my Canada Phone(as US though). And may 've got some credit(4th july EST). Tried calling India, yes I cud reach some numbers(probably they could see my no. too on caller ID).
And thats it- I cud say hi! and they cud hear hi- and then very bad disturbance....and virtually I'll've to call all of them by using my Phone bill- so all in all worst service and Vinay you now need to find another way for me to call all of them whom I called and it failed. Thanks a lot for all your help.
BTW I was wondering if Earth Call was working in other countries(like India) as they allow local call, if so does it work on IP and if yes can we change IP(let say if it works for India, to an IP of India and call local)?

Earthcaller works from anywhere in the world (besides UAE i guess) but you can only call usa and canada numbers.
It is a cool bug if the system cant recognize the phone number because you can use any phone number to call and register, no matter if this number is a false one ;)

I tried to call us no using eathcaller from bsnl DSL line india bangalore. I am getting sip reg failed.. do i have work around to call from india using eathcaller or should i change any config ?
