Getting back to the story, Nonoh bluntly says we offer better rates than Jajah and well they seriously do. Who on earth gives free calls to countries like Brazil, Japan and Malaysia? I have some countries which can't even dream to be in the free VOIP country list. NoNoh has simply cracked the market with this FREE VOIP calling service.
Lets see how we can use this service. Its a simple Phone to Phone service unlike other PC to Phone service. People simply go wild on Phone to Phone coz it's lot more friendly to use a Phone rather than sitting next to PC holding microphone.
1) Go to Nonoh and register.
2) Now You need to enter your number. Select your country. Country code will be auto-selected, now just type in your number.
3) Similarly enter your party's number (the one you are calling)
4) Click Call.
5) Call will be initiated and Nonon will first call you.
6) Once you pickup the call, nonoh will connect your party.
After some initial testing, we found that each call last about 5 minutes (non-registered call. if you are registered it could be more) which is pretty decent and you can call back on the same number again and again. We tried 3 times(singapore to Germany) and it worked great.
Nonoh is also offer a great rate for India, its only about 0.24 cents. Prolly the lowest across VOIP providers? Can anyone confirm? if yes, that means Nonoh is officially the cheapest voip provider for india.

I live in the USA. My dad in India wants to make free calls to Ireland . Can I register an account for him here in the US and then he will download the application and login from India and make free calls? Since I registered the user from USA will that work the same way as your suggested hack for these services?

Like in Voipbuster Pro they charge 5 Cents for connecting the call. Only that they don't charge it yet. But if you sign up as a user and make a call with Nonoh you see that it costs 0 Cents + 5 Cents.
I am not able to buy credit using my credit card. I am not able to download their verifying program. Can you please tell them to establish an easy way to buy credit by using USA credit card?

Thnx 4 the great info. At least i was able to call Cameroon free again after jaduka terminated their free call service. I noticed each of my calls lasted just 1 minute 2 seconds. Then after 5 such calls in a row i was informed that my free trial period was over and that if i need to register to make free calls. I did register and the first call went through but was disconnected after 1 minute. The following phrase was displayed: "The maximum free call has been reached". Since then, i could not make any call again.

There are few places where I find that Jajah is better then NoNoh.
Like providing free testing call to the non free destination is there in Jajah but NoNoh lacks that.
Secondly In NoNoh we need to add credits in our account to call free destination but not so in the case of Jajah.

First of all while trying to buy credit, I cldnt download the nonohverify.exe.
So I cldnt proceed with verification.
Also it says I can download softfone. That link also not working.

now i cant verify my phone number because they are not calling me. i tried giving them both my mobile phone number and landline number. One question - will my credit card company charge me currency conversion fee, because it looks like i am buying the credit in euros.

I am from Dubai.Today I got my mobile verified by them and I bought a credit of 10 Euro. But when I tried to make calls it is not ringing. While I made trial calls I got my friends in India. Thats why I bought credits. Now I am not getting anything. It shows the status like "Pick your phone - Ringing". Hoping that they will correct this problem. Other wise simply I think I lost my money thats all. Additionally I couldn't download their softphone also. When I am clicking on the link it leading me to a blank page.

Again I want to say something from my experience. I am from UAE. I made trial calls with nonoh. At that time it was working properly. When I bought credits, I couldn't make calls from my account. When I am making calls it is showing the status, Pickup your phone, but it is not ringing; after a short time, the other party will get connected automatically and credits is going from my account. I don't know why it is happening. I tried with several numbers in UAE as the owner number. Result is same.

yes they charge 5 cents for connecting the call. that sucks. but what i dont understand is why they charged me 5 cents for a call that was not connected. the person i was calling in india didnt pick up the phone. since it kept ringing i disconnected the call. but latter, when i looked at the account history they charged me 5 cents even though the call duration is show as 0000 seconds. so does that mean they charge 5 cents for all calls placed regardless whether they are connected or not? i am waiting for their customer service to reply to me. i will updated when they reply.

I am a keen reader of this blog and I'm writing first time here. Vinay is doing great work and I appreciate his efforts. But I guess now time has come to share cheating by companies like Nonoh.
Nonoh is not writing about connection fees of .5 euro/min. Download link is not working. When I bought credit they charged .50 euro as handling fees which I saw in justvoip.com too. I think this is cheating by hiding information and not providing softphone.
Nonoh is one step ahead and not providing softphone so everyone has to pay connection fee. This is compalete cheating to people. I have advice to be aware of this coming companies like nonoh.net.

I agree with you guys. Nonoh seems like another outfit by betamax to cheat users. For some reason, i just hate voip providers who hide information from their customers.
When i tried making calls during the testing it didnt show 5 cents charge. They probably did it purposely coz if people know they are gonna charge 5 cents connection charge, no one would buy the credit. Cheap marketing.
secondly, yeah it doesnt matter if the call duration was 0 secs or 100 mins, they will charge connect charge of 5 cents each time you make a call. As someone said, they charged 5 cents even when the call was not connected, that sounds ridiculous.
Tried the service the day you posted the blog and it worked... But it has failed to work for today... It says tht its ringing , but there appears to be no ringng on my side.

I agree with newtaraday. It says ringing, when we are making calls.But always our phone will be idle. It won't ring. In addition to that, the other party will get connected and credit will take from our account. They are also not giving the softphone also. Thisi is also their part of cheating people. So everybody will be forced to use their web based calling method. that is not okey also. So they will get money. So I strongly recommended everyone to don't get to their trap. I lost my 10Euro. .......

Nonoh is simply cheating it's customers! When one calls a destination number, they are deducting the charge for the destination number as well as that of call number. Thus the charge is not simply one way(@ destination number) BE CAREFUL of nonoh 's unethical tactics, it is not mention anywhere in their web page. They are simply sucking customers. Finally my concluding words : Say "no no " to nonoh.
calling to non-free destinations, you pay a 2 way fee, the website mentions this in fine print : "You will be charged for calls to both sides " .
so it does not turn out so cheap for calling to countries like India that are not in the free list ..
Hi there. I think something is rotten about Nonoh.
1) The Nonohverify.exe verification program gave me a "Verification succeeded" message, but the website kept saying "Verification failed". Why? No idea. Their Customer Service gave me a hilarious and useless explanation.
2) "You will be charged for calls to both sides"... hahaha... To my question "WTF does this mean?", the Customer Service didn't even answer to me!

You guessed it right. Nonoh charges for both sides of the call. However if your country is under free country list, it wont charge.
"You will be charged for calls to both sides" means - to my opinion - NOT that both the caller and the person being called will be charged. It says: YOU will be charged... (not the other person - how should NONOH charge HIM?).
I think that my call will cost me the added rates for two countries: the country of origin PLUS the country of destination. That doesnt matter, as long as both are FREE. Otherwise the cost can be higher than expected.
For instance: if you call from a landline in France to a landline in Germany it costs you € 0,00 per minute, because both sides are FREE. But if you call from a mobile phone in France to a mobile phone in Germany, it will cost you € 0,05
(France) + € 0,07 (German) + VAT.
Correct? Any proof?

Hi there. Usually, at betamax, the use with a sip software (xten lite for example) allow to not pay the 5cts connection cost... (works that way for netappel.com: 5cts for phone-to-phone web calls, but no connection cost for sip software use).
So did anyone tried nonoh with a sip software or an ATA ? does it work ?

Actually I've been using Zoonte (www.zoonte.com) its actually PC to Phone or SIP to phone, and they're rates to India are 17cents landline and 13 cents mobile. Worked great for me.

I put money too, after that i did make free calls, but after another 1 week, i couldn't make free call, every call was charged 2 Euro cents ,saying "This Phone-to-Phone conversation has exceeded our FUP (Fair Use Policy) therefore you have been charge our standard rates for this call"

I had no problems with nonoh until Jan 08. I have 7.70euros in my nonoh acount and I cant make my calls. It keeps saying disconnected due to unknown error. The worst part is they froze my voipcheapcom account as well and I had 4.31euros in that account. I discovered nonoh and voipcheapcom are run by the same company. I have contacted their customer service but got no response. Has anyone had a similar problem and got it resolved? Any help will be greately appreciated.
There are multiple people having the same issue. I guess i will take it up on VOIP Guide post this on the blog so someone from betamax read and clear up the issue.

Nonoh seems a fake site. Me and 4 other friends took the connection.It worked for a week, then the call never goes. It give "The call ended due to an unknown error".We some could login the account, some could not. But we still have enough balance left.
They doesn't have costumer care,never get a reply to mail.
So guys...Plz dont buy it..Dont become "FOOLS".

Nonoh is a SCAM. They charge me randomly money for calls made to free destinations, even though I have not exceeded my 200 minutes. Scam! Will not upload more credit after it expires.
Same thing has happened to me. I just started my nonoh account. We called the UK landline (free) have only used 1 minute of free time, and we got charged 0 for the first call (2 min) and 1 euro cent for the second call (30 seconds).
the fair use policy says you can have 200 free minutes per week and we have only used a few minutes and already got charged.
If the service continues, we will have to find yet another voip. seems like they are all scams or their software has bugs. I can not even find a way to contact nonoh or fill out a request form about what happened.
