EkkoTV Web Video Conferencing Solution

(For full text with comments please click on the title)

If you thought Video Conferencing needs a standalone application, you are living in 90's. In Voice 3.0 arena, Video Conferencing has much ahead of old fashioned Video conferencing tools.

Video conferencing has moved to the Web with exciting Web Conferencing Tools you never seen before. Today we discuss about Ekko.tv, a cool new web based Video conferencing system. You must be wondering what's great about Ekko?

1) You don't need a standalone application such as Skype to make free calls over the net.
2) You don't need a seperate Video Conferencing application.
3) You can talk without the need to download VOIP softphones or Skype etc.
4) You can talk and video conference from anywhere in the world.
5) No Signup, No Login Accounts. You can talk/Video conference with upto 2 people simulatenously.

The best part we liked about Ekko is shee simpilicity in Web Conferencing. When you go to Ekko, you will be given a Video Conferencing URL. Its like your conference room, All you need to do is share that link with others. When they follow that link, they automatically get added to your Video conferencing session. You can adjust your microphone and Webcam. Done. Now 3 people can talk to each other for FREE and can video conference at the same time. No frills attached.

Web Conferencing is becoming a big market as people are moving towards interactivity in communication. Video Conferencing via mobile phone is't a distant reality. Once we have 3G and Wifi making their way into your phone, you would soon start making video conference calls via your Mobile Phone. Currently the focus is on the web conferencing. We are really impressed by Ekko.

Ekko is definately one of the most Simple, Interactive and cool Video Conferencing Service.

Well, it sounds promising but apparently something is broken. First I tried it with Firefox, the world's most popular open-source browser, but it could not start the application. Suspecting that the site may have been created by someone too lazy to follow web-standards I reluctantly dug out Windows internet explorer but this too failed to start the application.
Let us hope the problem will be fixed soon so that we can all try it out.

You will be glad to know that current web and video conferencing services allow the host of a conference to present a slide show or power point demonstration that will be visible on the screens of all the participants of a conference.

Hey randi...
I tried using that but I think that needs an additional software.
Does it work on your computer without causing disturbances?
