After Yupee Phone and SwiftCom, we were eager to find the next big VOIP provider who can give us free international calls to India and many other countries. We finally found one who would give totally free calls. However It's important you read our guide.
AussieCall is a australian free international callsprovider and its a part of FreeCallPlanet, a US based free calls company. Although FreeCallplanet offers India at around 5 cents per minute on average on various plans, AussieCall is the real deal for now.
Let me clarify a few points before you jump all over :-) AussieCall will only work for Australia. Currently they do not allow calls coming from SIP Softphones/VOIP Phones etc. However you might want to give it a try using a Callback number, Services such as Nonoh. Remember their access number is australian mobile, It could be costly.
Lets understand how we can use aussiecall to make free international calls from australia. Many of us have mobile plans which often have included free minutes bundle. You can use this to callng minutes to dial their access number.
1) Dial 0424 215 122
2) When prompted, dial 0011 and the international number (including the country code)
3) DONT hit SEND/CALL button or else you call will be diverted via your mobile provider
Now you can talk as much as you want. With this, You can make Free International Calls to 74 Countries including India (Landline+ mobile). Enjoy till this works.

that is not new http://www.makefreecalls.com.au/ offers the same deal. 'free' calls through access number.
the problem is that calls to aurtralian-mobile numbers are costly. Voip providers usually charge 0.15$ per minutes to call them (that's even more expensive than calling india)
That means it's more likely to find free call providers to India, than to australia-mobiles..
i know many providers give free calls to landlines in australia, but none of them give to australia-mobile.
Hi I m from Australia, and I have used this service, first of all its not free coz they charge you local mobile rate from you Cap (plan)which is 0.90 cent per minute. And there are plenty of this kind of access no available in Australia. I would recommend to buy a calling card of $10 instead of calling this no and talk to India.
What on earth is going on? I tried to call Australia using another free voip service, but it says 0424 215 122 is invalid. I added 01161 as a prefix, to no avail. Please advise. Thx.
How can i make a call from USA? because when i do it the machine is asking me for a PIN number or my Credit Card Number with exp. date
Ps. this is what i did:
0424 215 122 /SEND (there was when a machine said "AT&T -few seconds of music- please add the number that you are calling now, so I add my cell # then was when it ask me for PIN # or Credit card #)

Aussie call is good If you have cap plan and free mobile minutes.
The best way if you are a frequent caller to India to a particular Number (your home number/wife's number) is buy draytek modem here and in Indian number. once you did it it is absolutely free even if you call from morning to evening to any sip phones

0424 215 122 is a Premium vodafone mobile no, so you can't call this no for free from any VOIP service which is offering free service to Australia landline calling
