We discussed about Intervoip-a great new way to make cheap international calls. We promised that we will find more such VOIP providers with cheap calling rates.
Today we discuss about FreeCall, a betamax company once again. They have lowered their international calling rates for some countries including India.
Note: FreeCall also offers free international calls to over 40 countries.
The new cheap international calling rates are as follows:
India Fix - 2.5 cpm
India Mobile - 3 cpm
Israel Fix - 1 cpm
Latvia Fix - 1 cpm
Turkey Fix - 2 cpm
(where cpm- is cents per minute)
I know it's not cheaper than Intervoip but definately not bad. We heard from many readers that Intervoip is facing some VOIP billing software issues and can't accept payment via paypal etc.
I guess you can give FreeCall a try since they have been in VOIP business for long and should have stable voip billing platform. 2.5 cents per minute to India landine is competitive if not the best cheap international calling rate.
Those who want to make cheap calls to turkey and cheap calls to isreal are getting some real deal at 1 cent per minute. Secondly freecall also offers calls via SIP, so you can use SIP Phone/VOIP Adapter to connect to freecall.

I checked their website and it is 3.9 cents and 4.7 with vat for calls to Indid
Cal easy will provide 2cents per min to India.
Intervoip provides 1cent per min to India.
Do you have any suggestions for free or low cost calls to the Caribbean? Cuba is notoriously expensive!
Even webcalldirect any other company from betamax is offering 2cent to landline and 3 cent to mobile, secondly intervoip increased it price for india now its 0.015 to landline and 0.01 to mobile, slight difference but this is betamax policy to change prices suddendly.
Have problems in Registering New Id. Tried with "LowRateVoip". Same problem.

First of all i would like to thank vinay for his work.. Really, the guys like you should have lot of patience in answering all the questions :)
I would like to comment on FREECALL, a provider of voip... I am using it from the past 6 months calling to INDIA from GERMANY. The Service is very nice and even it never created a problem for me in this period.
It charges 1.7ct/min to Landline and 2 ct/min to Mobile...
U guys can check this and have fine voice quality..
A conection charge of 5 ct/call is charged when u connect to your phone first and call. If u call from the system, u can avoid these connection charges too....
