We recently review IndiaMinutes, today we review IndiaLD, a promising new VOIP long distance service at wholesale rates.
IndiaLD currently has one of the lowest rates in the market at 1.9 cents per minute to India when you buy credit in bulk. That means, if you buy 2000 minutes per month, you will be charged at 1.9 cents per minutes. The minimum monthly minutes package starts at 1.99 cents per minute and you must buy 1000 minutes. The max is 3000 @ 1.9 cents per min. If you go over your minutes, you calls will be charged at 3.9 cent per minute.
Although, this is not the lowest as Mediaringtalk offers 1.7 cents per minute to India. IndiaLD still is a good competitive service for people who do not like to use a softphone based service such as Mediaringtalk. IndiaLD however only works for USA. They give you 10 US phone numbers that you can program to automatically call numbers in India. Once you set them up, you just need to dial the US number and it automatically rings the number in India. This function is very similar to LocalPhone which offers upto 5 free numbers.
IndiaLD offers service via Access Numbers in USA, you can call two access numbers: (424) 757-1111 or (530) 645-5555.
At this stage, We would advice you to be safe and test the service before you go all out and buy 3000 minutes package.

I see indiaminutes.com low alexa ranking 1500000 compared to indiald 280000.
This means indiald is popular that indiaminutes.
Likely, Indiald vistors are 30000/month compared to indiaminutes visitors 3000/month.
Figures are approximate, but ponderable!
i am using IndiaLD from last 2 months. their service is decent. call quality is nice. one disadvantage is you loose the minutes after one month, otherwise its fine. in indiaminutes.com the minutes dont disappear, how?

DONT USE THIS. You are better off paying a cent or two more than getting stuck with indiaminutes.
Also, the "Moneyback guarantee" is a joke. I have made repeated calls to them.. but they won't refund my balance.

DON'T BUY INDIALD: I bought it and it worked well for couple of months.. but as their subscribers are increasing, they r not increasing their ports... I have been trying to get through for 2 days straight, never got thru, and so came online to give this feedback... i had to buy a Reliance calling card just because this service is not working, meaning I am spending much more than I thought..
I joined IndiaLD to get cheap minutes. But the company is real cheap. There is a delay in the conversation which makes it impossible to use this network for any practical purpose. Probably you will have to say "Over" once you finish your conversation.
Once you register to this service giving your credit card details it is a big trap. Every month they keep debiting the money from your account without your permission. And there is not way to stop this from happening. I finally destroyed my credit card to get out of this.
Never go for them. They are trying to sell poor quality service using cheap tricks.

I think Indiaminutes is pretty decent, ive been using it for abot 2 mnths now.. although indiaLD sounds gud i jus dnt wanna sign up contractually n have no rollover minutes u knw... u essentially lose the minutes u dnt use.. thts the only reason i prefer indiaminutes.

India LD grew very quickly in a short period of time because of our low rates. Because of that, our access numbers and customer service got overwhelmed in our early days.
We have increased the number of ports on our access lines so busy signals should be a thing of the past.
We have also staffed up our customer service team, and handle service requests much more efficiently.
India LD is a subscription service so your plans do renew each month, but you can cancel at anytime. There are no contracts. If you only need to use us for a month, you can cancel your account after 30 days. We are different from a calling card in that respect.
We use tier 1 carriers to deliver our long distance to India. Very recognizable names that I wish I could mention. Our call quality is equal to or better than other services which are charging you a much higher rate to call India.
Finally our service is best for people who call India a lot, like 1000 minutes or more a month. The only way we can offer such a low rate is to have our customers buy in volume.
I hope that answered some of the comments. Look for big things from us soon as we continue to grow and get better.
their customer service is horrible... i canceled the account and they told that i would be able to use my remaining minutes for rest of the months.. I had more than 200 mins remaining and they disconnected the service at once... i tried multiple times and i never got my mins back....
IndiaLD has these 2 definite problems. I am realizing this after using it for 3 months:
1. They do not have a phone number for customer service. That is ok, they do it to cut down the prices. BUT they do not answer your email.So once you have any problem (like I have: out of a sudden, every time I dial, they ask me to enter my account number, which is a big pain). I have sent them 4 emails, no reply
2. Thet billed me 3 times this month, and have not answered my complaint so far. That means I will have to take additional steps via credit card company to settle this. This is by no means a joy.
I am realizing after 3 months, how bad IndiaLD can be.
My friends are using IndiaLD and they recommended this to me today,after reading these experiences of IndiaLD customers,I AM NOT BUYING this service and I share this link with all those who are already customer or future customer.
I earlier posted my bad experience with IndiaLD. I continue to share the same bad experience. I am just waiting to end this one month cycle so that I can stop this service. They billed me 3 times instead of one time and have not responded to almost 8-10 emails. They do not have customer phone service, so you are kind of stuck up. Chris- I believe is the owner- is more busy attracting more and more customers via Twitter, etc but does not take care of old customers. Today I had to cancel and change my credit card so as to pre-empt IndiaLD from billing me next time (may 16) as they can do that since they do not respond to emails and may not entertain my email request for canceling the subscription.

IndiaLD keeps charging your credit card twice a month. If you don't see your credit card statement, you loose the money. Even if you cancel or suspend the account, they charge your credit card. Once you are in, you cant come outside and you see your credit card bill from Free Call Planet recurring every month or alternate month. So plz use caution to buy this card.

I agree with most of the other people who have posted negative remarks about IndiaLD. I ran into problems with them 5 times in last 3 months. Now I have finally decided to give up. Following were the issues I encountered:
1. After returning from vacation, it took me over a week and multiple emails and hours to get my account reactivated.
2. The access numbers are frequently overloaded so the call wouldnt go through.
3. If starting day of you billing cycle falls on a weekend, and somehow their "automated system" is not able to charge your card, you are stuck until next monday as their customer service does not work on weekends.
4. They would double charge your credit card without even an email notification. If you dont check your credit card statements, you would end up losing lot of money.
Get MetroPCS cell phone guys... its unlimited to US and India.
I came to Us in dec and i was suggested to use India ld. I started with it in march and kept with it for four months. i sent them over 5 complaints wich they dint revert to. I had been wanting to discontinue with them but they wouldnt even revert to a my mails or messages. As such they dont have any call centre or customer care. All they have is just mails or messages which they hardly reply to. I sent them over 5 mails and got followed up with two that too like 4 to 5 days after. Now I am finally going to ask my bank for money back cos I am absolutely fed up.There were days when I had been going ga ga over indiald and I advised every random friend to try it. But after this I would rather try indiaminutes.com or Nymgo. They any ways offering better rates(1.3c)

I just bought Indiald couple of days back and I did not get the account number.. Also, after giving the credit card information, I never got any successful transaction confirmation.. I am litle scared now.. I can still call to India.. Did anyone come accross this?

Thanks for all your feedback on the IndiaLD. i am thinking of to buy the package of 3000 minutes calling to india from UK but i will stop buying it as most of the reviews says they company could charge multiple times for the same month billing. well i am not impressed with this site reviews and not gonna recommend this site to anyone. please recomend me the cheapest calling monthly plans to call india from UK.
IndiLD sucks. It has become increasingly difficult to call any number in India lately. They even billed me 128 minutes for call that was only 4 minutes long after I opted to cancel my account. I have call log from my phone company to prove the length of the call. Cheats... stay away from these guys.
Try Nymgo - they are not the best - but so far have been the cheapest direct calls to India and honest billing.
I have been using IndiaLD for last 3 weeks, highly impressed as there is no connection fee, no account joining fee, good quality calls, etc..i was thinking of upgrading my account to their 3000mins..but now after reading this I am worried about my credit card details...So I might stay with their minimum package and will see.

I got their sevice and had it due to contract for 6 months. First of all their is always problem of voice quality, when you complain you always get favorite answer (some body will look into it).Honestly I could use it hardly for a month in six months. After that when I decided to quit first you will get lots of offers, like to pay a fraction if you continue their service.
At last after saying no to all, they advised me to send their equipment back (I paid security for that).I did and it has been a year asking them for my refund. Now their answer is CONVEX9 IS SOLD AND WE ARE NEW OWNERS AND WE DON'T WISH TO PAY YOU BACK. SOMETIMES WE CAN'T FIND YOUR RECORD................people beware of them. We have been using IndiaLd for last two years and i donot have any complain except the minutes expire within a month. They keep reducing their price but you need to approach them to change the plan. They donot change automatically.
As far as customer service they are far better than verizon CS, they have a LIVE chat and you can ask them any thing to do with your account.I am happy with their billing system.I wish i can call to cellphone to other countries, we can only call landlines.NOT many people have landlines anymore.

It has the worst customer care. I tried to call them and I had to wait 1:30 mins on the call to reach a customer service representative. THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER CARE I'VE EVER SEEN.

"Access numbers clogged up at most times. When the access numbers do go through, the calls to numbers in India don't, 7 out of 10 times. Unless you have time to keep dialing to India over and over again with about a 30% success rate of being connected, I wouldn't recommend this service. When asked for a refund, its been 2 weeks. I was spoken rudely to by the "supervisor" and was told the exact same thing as my initial refund request, "Your case has been escalated and contact us back within 2-3 days". Also, he had the nerve of telling me, "Would you really want to waste your time in calling us back for nine dollars and seventeen cents". Its about the principle, not the money."

I am using Raza's 1000 minutes plan now, you have unlimited time to use 1000 minutes...you don't have to use them in one month...you can use them forever! Best plan on internet..costs about 1.3 cents per minute!
Make sure you understand that IndiaLD charges your credit card every month for a monthly payment plan. If you think that when you don't pay for the next month, it will cancel your account, not true!!! It charges your account, whether or not you want it, since that is in the terms and conditions of the plan!!! BE AWARE!!!
its a doggy company never use there service......they misused my credit card details without my concent.... request you to please don't give ur credit card becoz if u cancle the service they still cahrge you.
