This is huge. You can now make unlimited free calls to india (Landline +Mobile) and more countries such as USA, Canada, Thailand and Russia. This is VOIP Guide exclusive news, don't miss it!
You are already aware of the great free international calls provider Poketalk who constantly added more countries to the free calling list. Poketalk contacted VOIP Guide asking for suggestion on offering free calls to India. With over 2 days of testing, Poketalk and VOIP Guide is happy to announce that you can now make unlimited free international calls to India (Landline +Mobile)
The only downside for this service at this time is its only available for callers in UK or if you have a UK geographic number and are able to call to one of the Poketalk's Access numbers. Please note poketalk access numbers are o2 mobile numbers so if you have a BT, NTL or mobile operator plan which includes free minutes you can use them to call poketalk access number.
Let's see how to make a free international call to India or other countries offered by Poketalk under this Dial-in plan.
1) Register at Poketalk
2) If you are already registered with Poketalk and have a Poketalk PRO account, you can apply a coupon to get 10% extra credit. This is again another exclusive offer for VOIP Guide users. The coupon code is voipguides
How to Apply Coupon in Poketalk?
a) From Account Page, go to PRO tab.
b) Under PRO, you can see your PRO Balance. Click on Add Credit.
c) you would see 3 options, Choose Coupon tab.
d) in the code field, enter voipguides and click Send. This would instantly add 10% extra talktime into your account. This also works for existing PRO users.
3) Now from your UK Mobile or Landline, Dial one of the following Poketalk Dial-in Numbers:
447624100180, 447624100183, 447624100184, 447624100187 (If you are calling from UK, you can skip country code 44 and instead replace it with 0. I believe a local UK user would know this.)
4) Once you are connected to one of the access numbers, a lady would ask you dial the number of your choice in proper country code+number format + # key.
e.g If you are calling India landline in Mumbai, you would enter 912223420000#
Note: Wait till the lady finishes talking and then enter the number. If you enter the number before the call won't go through. This bug is reported to Poketalk by me today so hopefully they would fix this. I asked them to add a beep and then ask users to enter the number.
5) Talk as much as you want.
Now, I know many of you guys are furious over why this service is only for UK. Well, at this time this service is in beta and poketalk is actively looking to start this service in USA, Canada and many other countries. We have already requested for this. Don't worry, we will ensure that this happens.
All existing Poketalk customers, don't forget to use coupon code voipguides to get free extra credit. It applies to all old and new customers.
Secondly, don't forget that this service works for other countries such as USA, Canada, Thailand and Russia (Landline + Mobile).
Guys, Make the most of it and secondly, Please report your feedback on the call quality, new features etc. Thanks again to Shai Genish of Poketalk for working with us on this exclusive news.

i use t-mobile, and when i call to these access no.s it says that the no.s are chargeable. they are not included in the cross-network minutes.
I just tried calling both the numbers from my mobile, and get a female voice "Please enter your destination number followed by the pound key." I enter 0091... the full number and press #. Then the female voice comes and repeats the message again. I repeat this process a few times and disconnect the call. Disappointed! Doesn't work...
No need to enter 00. just dial 91-----
great stuff vinay. works for me. top quality call
Hi,
Thank you for this post.
A bit of clarification.
The numbers specified to call 07624 are not O2 they are Radiopaging numbers of a company Manx Telecom and also Cable & Wireless Man Limited in the Isle of Man.There have been some problems with these 076 numbers in the past.
Poeople from UK would know Ofcom (they would obviously have heard of the Isle of Man) they have a list of all mobile numbers available on their website which very clearly states this. You can check the link at http://www.ofcom.org.uk/telecoms/ioi/numbers/numbers_administered/s7.xls
I would wait for someone in the Uk to successfully call India or US and please post your reviews here.
Cheers.
"Free"?
Just wait until you get your bill for calling their "access numbers" and you'll realise that this is far from free...
i have already sent an email to poketalk regarding access numbers. i hope they can change access numbers to normal geographic uk numbers.
this is moneymaking trick by Poketalk. Charge to call 762 number is 0.05 Euro and call to India is 0.01 Euro by smartvoip, so who is gaining and who is loosing? Vinay you are voip expert and you do not know this? strange?
Agree that the charges are high. i just noticed on my billing page. I was originally told its a o2 number but it seems its not. I have requested them to assign new access numbers which are charged at national rate in UK. lets wait and watch
HI,
Shai from PokeTALK here. The response regarding the rates is below direct from the supplier:
Out of 44 mobile operators in the UK, only 2 consider these numbers as out of
of the FREE minutes plan. In any case, if you have a non-prepaid card, AKA
monthly call plan, you are billed as a normal cellular call.
Calling from any BT phone to these phones is charged at normal mobile rates.
The numbers are in the Isle of Man, however, the billing
is just like normal cellular billing.
UK mobile termination charges are Ridiculously high. Any VoIP service provider who can generate traffic for those carriers can get lesser termination rate.
The lowest Betamax rate for those numbers are 5 eurocents/min which can cover not only India but if they wish they can cover afganistan too...
If they can make regular UK number available, I sure poketalk would be going nose down in a week.
I can say only one thing for timebeing..."Abhi tak woh mai ka lal paida nahi hua hain jo India calls free de". I hope somebody proves me wrong :) but I am sure it won't happen at least for sometime.
Thanks,
Umesh
Vinay pls don't believe to anything coming out of poketalk mouth.
You see? they managed to trick you as well into spending your time - and your blog prestige - on this nonsense article (maybe that's weird way to say 'thank you' for all the unjustly coverage here in the past, as explained in earlier times here)
Vinay I can't blame you for not knowing these 076 'Isle of Man' numbers, but in fact they are just other kind of UK premium-numbers, same as 0844 or 0870 numbers (which we know well).
Calling these numbers is very expensive. Nothing is 'hugh' here.. so many other services give free international calls to people who're willing to dial such expensive prefixes.
By the way, a reminder: Poketalk keeps rejecting all negative comments from their blog. Any reader here can verify this. just write something at their blog and you'll see all negative comments will be deleted (even very polite like mines).
Why do they still warmly invite people to post their thoughts if they delete our opinions??
I am in UAE is it possible 2 make call from here?
Hi Vinay,
Without testing it how can you write in your post that you have tested it for two days and it is working fully perfect.
Regards,
I did test the service the only issue is regarding the call rates to these access numbers which i missed completely. Now lets wait and watch.
HI,
Shai here to clarify a response from our supplier:
According to the information I have, the calls are billed according to each mobile carrier plans and regulations. While
some carriers see these numbers as in-plan numbers, others may not. Same issue applies to countries like the Caribbean's, as these are prefixes as "1", same as
USA and Canada.
The numbers are used as a means to allow people to call internationally from their mobile phone, then calling a remote country – without a need to go about and use PIN codes and calling cards. What you pay for is convenience and ease of use.
The service provided by PokeTalk is similar in manner to the twitter SMS service operating in the UK. PokeTalk can't control what is billed by the various carriers, it can only provide a service onwards. Same as with Twitter or TruPhone, both operating
within the same number ranges as this.
Regarding the blog posts, only people who are registered with PokeTALK and are active get approved because those are the real users.
Cheers
Shai,
No need to have lengthly useless discussion if Poketalk is honest just change the access numbers to 02 then all users will have no doubt on your sincereity.
Shai,
Don't even waste your time writing here. If you work for poketalk, I understand your side. But if you really plan to let people make free calls why not switch to regular UK numbers?
With PRO plan you do have fair plan and we respect that. Business with clear terms makes sense but hiding the momeny making tactics hurts the business in long term.
Please save yours and others time by not writing justifcation for this plan. We know it's useless and it won't change unless you change.
Thanks,
Umesh
Mr Shai,
I commented at your blog as a user (with email) - and one of the very first.
You deleted my comment (as well as many others like testers said) just because it was negative, so please stop throwing here sand in the eyes.
You can't play games all the times. I'm sure what you did here - misusing this blog and Vinay's trust in such an embarrassing manner - will not gain you any rewards in the long term
Dear Vinay,
India nos. are not included in the free country nos. Can you please clarify as was impressed by the headlines you announced "Unlimited Free International Calls to India and many countries"
Thanks
KBV
its a good service
HI Guys,
Shai from PokeTALK.
What are your thoughts on this numbers range: 07924XXXXX
Our suppliers tell us it is included in all the dial plans.
Just to clarify the old numbers were included for all O2 dial plans and that was the confusion.
India does work btw its just not listed in the free destinations list because its a dial-in special at the moment.
cheers
this is rediculus...i was charged 25 pence per min. on Vodafone....this is jst a trap....
Hello Shai.. I have used your service and I am quite happy with it..I am on orange pay monthly contract..after calling the access number, I called Orange customer service and they told me that the number is included in my x-network minutes..if you come up with a local geographical number, it will be great..as i get unlimited landline calls...

Hey guys I'm new on the forum, but not new to the world of telecom. I see many of you are seeking what I was once seeking--unlimited international calling for a low price.
There is a company called Proxycomm that offers that. When you signup as a distributor for the company it costs you $24.99 for unlimited calling to U.S. and Canada and then you pay additional $30 to add unlimited international calling. So your monthly total is $54.99.
I call daily to Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, UAE, and Egypt for about 4-5 hours and the call quality is excellent and the price is unmatchable. When you become distributor not only do you get wholesale pricing, but you also earn 50% commission on everybody you bring in--they commissions are residual, meaning you get paid every month as long as customer pays their bill. Check it out at www.goproxycomm.com/pak . If you have any questions just call me or PM me.
Thanks
