Truroots a tata enterprise product and one of the leading cheap calls to India service is offering 100% free extra talktime when you buy one of their packs, but is it still cheap?
Trueroots has been in business for last couple of years and have gained significant market especially in USA, however sometimes it boggles my mind that its owned by Tata, one of the largest telecom providers in India and the calling rates to India are at 5.8 cents per minute? Are we living in 2007 or 2010?
So with the new disounted rates (available only till 17th october which is today), you will get 100% extra talktime, which makes the effective rate to Call india fall down to 2.9 cents per minute.
I strongly feel 2.9 minutes is even not worth it since we got VOIP Providers like Localphone or fastvoip offering close to 1 cent per minute now.
Are you using trueroots, then let us know why you still prefer trueroots over other cheaper providers.

Tata was smarter, I thought! Obviously, not! 2.9 cents??? Even that "discounted" rate is an absolute joke! Am I expected to laugh now or later? Anyone who subscribes to this have money to burn!

Can you please tell me if there is any voip service which provides Indian landline/cell number, so that when the voip equipment is plugged in US, any friends calling from India can call me on my "dedicated Indian phone number"?
If not,is there any cell phone or landline in India that gives reasonable international call forwarding service? So,that if someone calls me on Indian cell number,it forwards to my cell number automatically.
Appreciate any solution to have a dedicated Indian phone number,that I can use in US.
