But the free calls are only to Indian land line and not mobile. The free calls will be credited to you once you recharge (for minimum of 10 euros) and it will be for a period of 120 days.

I downloaded Fastvoip then made account after that started to call phone in India ... then it says calls forbidden..why forbidden when you say its working and calls are free..plz let me know how can I use this opportunity to call for free to India.

fastVoip connects to server, but no calls can be made once this free call promotion has started. i dunno if i am the only affected or it is an issue with the gateway. i have 9+Euro in my balance, but i cant make any calls. I have 60 free days left as well. Can the fastvoip guys take note and check my acccount?? mY username is my name in this post

It takes a hell lot of time to connect any number and most of the times the service message is call forbidden though there is sufficient balance and free days.

I really appreciate your blog on voip, giving latest information abt internationall calls and making us save good amount of money. After reading your post of fastvoip, i decided to give it a go. I live in Germany and mostly makes call to india. I wanna bring some potential problem that fastvoip as a product is delivering to fail. I think you can get in touch with fast voip and bring it to their attention to work out on these issues.
1) Most calls get connected but no voice at all. Neiter parties can hear eachother You wont even hear the ringing tone.
2) Lot of times when you make a call through local access number then it says that the person has not entered the card number even though it was entered correctly.
3) SMS to many part of india never gets delivered. For example, Punjab region
I had been using Betamax products since 2007. I know their services suck but after experiencign fastvoip i think Betamax are best when it comes to VOIP. It seems most reliable (never had problem in calling numbers) and they provide atleast some support by email but fastvoip has no support at all.
HI I have used fast voip and joined it since i heard that its free for 4 months when I purchase credit for 10 euros. Today I got email from them free promotion for me will beended after 60 days. which is not right.
So guys who ever buys fastvoip be careful.
More over everytime I have to make a call from fastvoip application I have to uninstall it and reinstall it which is not right to.

whatever may be the comments. I was using lot of voip for last 3 years and found only Fastvoip and nymgo as reliable to call India. Call landline using fastvoip for about 45 paise/ min. Mobile may be little more around 70 paise. Whereas Nymgo offers a rate of around 55 paise for mobile, landline to India. If u want to use it in Mobile, then download NIMBUZZ. After signing in in Nimbuzz, go to accounts and put username and password of respective voip.
Note: whenever you call increase volume of phone as default volume will be low.
