Its finally here. The Localphone is now fully enabled via your iphone. I have been testing the official localphone iphone app since last few days and found great new ways to make cheap calls directly from your iphone.

If you still didn't notice, Localphone released their official iphone app like week and I immediately installed it so I can play with the features.

The Localphone app is slick and does the job very well. The best feature of this app has to be the dynamic number generation for any number you want to call. Localphone application basically provider a dialpad inside the application. This is totally different from your normal iphone dial pad. When you input a number (must be in international format), it will dynamically create a localphone local access number on the fly and dial out. This way you instantly save money on international calls and you dont have to create contacts for one-off numbers.

The Localphone iphone app (use Coupon code: LP2011JUL10 to get 10% Extra Credit) also bypasses the calling card PIN verification process making it truly seemsless to work with. However, I would really like the following features included in the upcoming release:

1) Make a CallBack option available in the app. This could be a value addition for people with free incoming calls :-)

2) If you have more than 2 incoming localphone numbers, then a way to choose the number while calling out.
