Oman is one of those countries with very stringent laws against VoIP and its really difficult to make any phone calls using traditional VoIP services which uses standard SIP protocol to make calls. The authorities and telecom operators catch up very fast and these services eventually get blocked.
We noticed that Oman based operator, Nawras now offering cheap calls to any country in the world at a flat price of 49 baisa. The new "super off peak" offer allows any oman resident to make any international calls using the 0902 VoIP prefix from a mobile or Home Voice number, between 8 pm and 10 pm.
Customers simply dial 0902 instead of the usual international dialing code of 00. For example, to benefit from this very attractive rate when calling the UAE, customers simply dial 0902 971 before the telephone number, instead of using 00 971.
Nawras is also extending its previous popular 0902 offer for a another two months till march 26 2012.
Considering the current Omani Rial to USD rates, I believe this works out to around 12 USD cents per minute, which is definitely not the cheapest. However, rather than burning your pockets with super high ISD rates, this could be cheaper. Unless of course, you can figure out a way to make cheap VoIP calls from Oman ;-)

Nawras voip is just a waste voice clearity is not there at all over and above prices r too high
In oman few voip dialers are working such as moobely , 1leg , star gold , vbuzzer and many more for ro 3 one gets approx 560 min , yes its happens that they are blocked quite often but witin few days these providers do come with new upgrade
I am happy with them will not suggest nawras voip
