rnetcall.com Reliance Net Call Review

Share

Reliance has finally decided to shed off the "bad publicity" of their not so popular Reliance iCall brand with a makeover name Reliance Net Call (rnetcall.com). But will it do any good?

Reliance launched Reliance iCall a few years back and instantly started offering good deals. However, it didn't long for people to understand that their software only installs if sun sets in the east. The horrific experience with their softphone coupled with billing issues and frequent call drop soon earned them the reputation of "One of the worst VOIP Providers" in the market.

I still hear mixed reviews of their services even though they offer a fairly competitive calling rates to India and several countries. Now the question is will the new name Reliance Net Call make them any good?

Is this just a new brand name or a complete makeover of their existing sevices. Well the users would sure hope for the best. If you happen to use the new Reliance net Call service, then do let us know your review of their services epsecially in terms of call quality, customer service, softphone and billing issues.

I downloaded iCall for two main reasons. 1) I travel a lot internationally, I hated hunting for local SIM and provider I wanted integration with a very large address book. 2) It worked on the Mac

Two years later, the report card is mixed. Call quality when connection is established improves as time goes by, the error codes and call drops remain a continuing annoyance. Address Book integration is not there.

The desktop application does not make use of Mac's features. There are very few configuration options, such as audio quality and call log (not on the website, which every provider has) on the desktop.
